The wild shootout between police and a suspected car thief, wanted for shooting a man in brooklyn and then emptying 11 rounds, firing at the cops, and the officers, of course, fired back. Gerald harris is recovering here after being shot in the leg, and police say he is responsible for starting just this wild shootout that resulted in officers firing off some 70 shots, and police say that harris was first wanted for shooting a man who was simply loading up his car, and police say harris was hiding in the mans trunk, and when the man opened his trunk, apparently harris was trying to steal his car. The man opened his trunk and harry shot him. The victim was able to give it was early friday morning in bushwick, harris opened fire on officers, and officers returned fire.
