Seguin ISD launches at-home learning survey for secondary school students

(Seguin) Although more and more students have begun to return to the classroom to finish out the school year, the historic COVID-19 pandemic has no doubt left behind changes and new options to ensure learning for all students.
As part of its efforts to ensure success of all students, the Seguin ISD has created an At-Home Learning Survey for the 2021-2022 school year. Sean Hoffmann, chief communications officer for the Seguin ISD, says parents and students who would like to request At-Home Learning this fall are encouraged to complete the survey as soon as possible. He says the option is only available for secondary level students. ....

On March 6, 2020, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) announced South Carolina’s first two cases of COVID-19. By April 2, the virus had spread to all 46 counties, impacting each community in this state. A full year later, it’s difficult to remember what life was like pre-pandemic; before a time of virtual learning, remote working and days filled with countless web-based meetings.
Despite these and other challenges, the last 12 months also brought about reasons for hope and inspiration. A primary source of inspiration for me has been public media’s response to the pandemic, including the great work of our team here at SCETV.
