$150 million Denton residential community sells to D.R. Horton Stuart Ridge community is planned to have more than 560 homes. Astra Development sold the property on Denton s north side to D.R. Horton.(Astra Development) Astra Development sold Horton the Stuart Ridge development, located at Stuart and Long roads near Loop 288. Plans for the property call for a $150 million development with more than 560 single-family homes. The first phase of the new community will include 163 lots. “The property’s location in the extra-territorial jurisdiction of the city of Denton created unique challenges in terms of obtaining necessary approvals,” Justin Bono, founder and president of Astra Development, said in a statement. “Astra worked closely with the city of Denton on the creation of this development, and are pleased to be able to turn it over to D.R. Horton to carry the project forward.”
