An Independent review of Invercargill Airport’s controlled airspace recommends that the staffed control tower should stay in light of an Airways announcement to withdraw from the airport.
In May, Airways New Zealand announced its decision to withdraw its services from regional airports in Hawke s Bay, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Rotorua and Invercargill.
The results of a three-month review for Invercargill Airport, undertaken by Astal Aviation Consultants, in association with Melbourne-based R2A Due Diligence Engineers and Risk Assessors, were announced on Thursday. ....
