School District 59 informed the media that they were aware of the rally planned for 11:00 a.m.
“School officials have reached out to the families of the student organizers offering to work together to address the issues that the rally is raising.”
The district says it takes the issue of bullying very seriously and wants to work together with families and students to ensure all students feel safe.

Plenty of space expected for vehicles dropping off, picking up students âÂ
Despite criticism from the Peachtree City Council about potential traffic backups at the new J.C. Booth Middle School now under construction, the new site has plenty of âstacking spaceâ for parentsâ vehicles, according to Assistant Superintendent Mike Sanders.
âThere wonât be a backup onto Highway 54,â Sanders told the Fayette County Board of Education last week. âWe have 2,500 linear feet of stacking space for vehicles on our property.â
