Will Redding put weed-eating goats to work?
Firefighters were called to the scene of a fire at a Redding motel that sent one person to the hospital on Friday morning.
Redding Fire Department crews arrived at 4:45 a.m. at the Motel 6 on Hilltop Drive where they found a fire in one of the rooms, a report issued by Assistant Fire Marshal Ryan Masterson said.
Firefighters contained the fire and finished putting out the flames by 5:12 a.m., according to the report.
One person was taken to the hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation, and two dogs were found dead in the room. It s not clear if the fire killed the dogs.
