McDONOUGH â Henry Countyâs first jury since the outbreak of the pandemic returned a guilty verdict today against a McDonough man for exposing himself in front of a 3-year-old child.
The jury convicted Shawn Raheem Clark, 25, of child molestation and public indecency. Clark exposed himself and masturbated in front of a toddler who was visiting him while he was incarcerated at the Henry County jail.
The jury returned the guilty verdict after deliberating for less than 30 minutes.
Henry County Chief Superior Court Judge Brian J. Amero sentenced Clark to 20 years with the first 10 years to be served in prison. Clark also must register as a sex offender and have no contact with children.
PITTSFIELD â After more than 45 years, the law caught up with alleged âserial predatorâ and former Olympian Conrad Mainwaring on Tuesday in a Berkshire County courthouse.
Mainwaring, 69, was arraigned in Berkshire Superior Court on nine counts of indecent assault and battery for alleged crimes against boys 14 or older, and three counts for alleged abuse of boys younger than 14. Not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf on all the charges.
A Berkshire County grand jury returned the indictments Jan. 27, and authorities last week brought Mainwaring to Pittsfield from California.
Authorities in Berkshire County accuse Mainwaring, a Los Angeles resident and United Kingdom national, of molesting seven campers from 1975 to 1979 while working as a counselor at the summer camp off Route 20 in Becket.

DOYLESTOWN, PA What started off as a routine traffic stop in Bedminster Township Friday night led to a drug investigation and the seizure of nearly $4 million worth of illicit drugs, the Bucks County District Attorney s Office said Thursday.
Bedminster Township Officer officer James Zukow pulled over a Jeep for swerving and the driver, later identified as 28-year-old Christian Ochoa, of Laredo, Texas, consented to a search, which led to the seizure of one kilogram of heroin and fentanyl and nine kilograms of cocaine with a street value of $1.2 million.
