Monday was not the first time Lynsie Ann Mondina, 38, pleaded guilty to that robbery.
In 2017, she pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years of deferred adjudication probation. The next year, the state filed a motion to revoke that probation after Mondina was arrested on a second-degree felony narcotics possession charge in Williamson County, which violated the terms of her deferred probation in Bell County.
On Monday, after hearing testimony and arguments, Judge Paul LePak revoked Mondinaâs deferred adjudication probation, found her guilty and sentenced her to 10 years of regular probation on the second-degree felony charge.
âYouâre starting a new, adjudicated probation today,â LePak said.
The wife of the 76-year-old Harker Heights man accused of two counts of arson said her husband had started to show early signs of dementia before his arrest last year.
Willie Williams was indicted March 17 on two counts of arson of a building after police said he started at least two fires in Nolanville last year. Last week, his case was heard remotely in the 264th Judicial District Court after his defense attorney requested that he be released on a personal recognizance bond.
After hearing from Williamsâ wife and arguments from attorneys, Judge Paul LePak on Thursday ordered that Williams have a personal recognizance bond interview and that if released, he is to wear a GPS monitor, obey a curfew and get a mental health evaluation.
A judge denied several motions to dismiss the felony cases of a woman who has been in jail for just over four years awaiting trial related to a 2016 Harker Heights kidnapping.
The defense attorney for Bobbi Battishia White, 41, filed three motions to dismiss the felony charges of aggravated kidnapping, injury to a child and interference with child custody, alleging that Whiteâs rights to a speedy trial have been violated and that her health is deteriorating due to a chronic medical condition.
âWeâre asking the court to sign an order dismissing all of these cases because of her rights to a speedy trial,â said defense attorney Austin Shell during the remote hearing on Monday. âYou canât keep someone in jail without a trial for this many years in the State of Texas.â
