IPOH, April 11 The Perak government will revive the Commonwealth Youth City project in Tanjung Malim that was shelved during Pakatan Harapan’s rule.
Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad said the project that was implemented under former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir’s administration, was part of plans for the Southern Perak Development Corridor.
“That plan was suspended after the new state government took over in 2018 and with its own policies introduced at that time, the project was shelved.

IPOH, Dec18 The Perak State Legislative Assembly sitting today made history when the state Supply Bill 2021 or the state budget was unanimously passed after being tabled by newly appointed Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad on Wednesday.
The deficit budget involving an allocation of RM1.215 billion was approved after being debated by 12 State Assemblymen, six from the government bloc and six from the opposition.
Saarani (BN-Kota Tampan) when winding up the debate said that under the National Digital Network (Jendela) plan announced on August 29, a total of 146 new communication transmitter sites will be built together with the upgrading of 1,406 communication transmitters at existing towers throughout the state.

IPOH, Dec 18 The Perak State Legislative Assembly today unanimously approved the state’s budget for 2021.
The Perak State Budget 2021, which involves an allocation of RM1.215 billion, was debated for one day by six representatives from the government and six from the Opposition.
A total of RM430.0 million has been allocated for the development expenditure while the remaining RM785.1 million from the budget is for the management cost.
