Nearly 3.5K minors with comorbidities vaxxed vs. Covid-19

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said more hospitals are eyed to participate in the pediatric vaccination program. Gov't to expand pediatric vaccination to 13 more hospitals in NCR

MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday said the government will expand its pediatric Covid-19 inoculations to 13 more hospitals in Metro Manila. In his Talk to the People, Duterte said there are presently eight participating hospitals for the pilot run of the Covid-19 pediatric vaccination in the National Capital Region (NCR). These include the Philippine Children's Medical Center, National Children's Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, Pasig City Children's Hospital, Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital-Global City, and the Makati Medical Center. In a Laging Handa briefing, Malaya said they are targeting to vaccinate some 144,131 minors aged 15 to 17, prioritizing those with comorbidities, during the vaccination drive which will run until October 31. "For parents who would want their children to be included in this second phase of minors' vaccination, coordinate with your respective local government unit.
