PU employees demand allowances July 20, 2021 LAHORE:Punjab University (PU) teachers, officers and employees held a joint press conference here Monday and demanded grant of Disparity Allowance to all grades of university teachers, officers and employees. The press conference was organised by the PU’s Joint Action Committee in which they made a unanimous demand for the provision of 25pc Disparity Reduction Allowance to teachers, officers and employees from grade one (BS-1) to twenty-two (BS-22) without any discrimination. In the matter of Utility Allowance, they demanded the grant of the allowance without any delay. Indonesian ambassador for strengthening ties with Pakistan National March 13, 2021 FAISALABAD: Indonesian Ambassador Adam Mulawarman Tugio has said that bilateral relations will be further strengthened between his country and Pakistan in various fields, including agriculture, academia and industry. He was talking to Deans and Directors meeting of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and a seminar held in connection with the International Women’s Day at the UAF on Friday. The UAF faculty and students also took out a rally and arranged a seminar to mark the International Women’s Day. National March 1, 2021 FAISALABAD: The district administration has retrieved over 1,592 acres commercial/agriculture state land worth Rs 13 billion from land grabbers during the last 23 days. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali informed in a briefing session on Sunday that over 207 acres land worth Rs 4.28 billion had been retrieved in Tehsil Sadar so far. Similarly, he added, 6-Kkanal land worth Rs 2.73 billion in Tehsil City, over 335 acres in Tehsil Jaranwala and over 50 acres land worth Rs 628.9 million had been retrieved in Tehsil Tandlianwala. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali while addressing a District Vigilance Committee meeting said that the district administration would resolve the problems of kiln workers on top priority.
