Senon Garcia Gonzales, 86 years old of Fort Stockton, passed away peacefully with his Family by his side on June 21, 2023, in Midland. Funeral services took place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday June 26, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Fort Stockton with Father Francis Njoku officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory from Odessa, Texas.

Ashton, Midland Medical Lodges reopening for visitors

The reopening comes after Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services adjusted their guidance for nursing homes. Author: NewsWest 9 Updated: 12:10 PM CST March 12, 2021 MIDLAND, Texas More and more nursing homes are opening to visitors thanks to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services changing their guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Among those opening are Ashton Medical Lodge and Midland Medical Lodge. Both locations shut down a year ago and saw major breakouts of the coronavirus in 2020. Residents and staff of both locations have already received the Pfizer vaccine thanks to the Texas Department of State Health Services. “This is the day we’ve all been dreaming about,” Jordan Moeller, Administrator at Ashton Medical Lodge said in a press release. “We are thrilled to welcome our family and friends back after this long year.”

This is all part of Phase 1B of the plan to vaccinate Texans. This phase includes high-risk people like residents of long-term care facilities and those taking care of them and those 65 and older.
