POONCH : Department of Botany, Government Degree College Poonch organized 5 day long virtual extension activities for the skill students of Semester 6 concluded today. The event was held under the overall supervision of Principal, Prof M H Shah and HOD Botany, Dr Rani Mughal and witnessed seminars, lectures by students of skill, students of bio fertilizers and extension lectures. Dr.Rani Mughal spoke at length about the usefulness of skill based courses in providing much needed employment to the youth and how development of entrepreneurial culture can benefit our society. She also spoke about the need of collaboration with experts for training the youth in the relevant skills. She threw light on the very burning issue of unemployment and how the future generations can reduce their dependence on government sector jobs without compromising on their aspirations of a bright future. ....
