BEIJING: China said it is open to a meeting with the US defence secretary on the sidelines of a regional security forum in Cambodia this week, in a sign of thawing relations after the countries’ top leaders met earlier this month.
Cambodia is ready to host the 16th Asean Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM) on June 22 in Phnom Penh, according to a defense ministry's press statement on Friday.
SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): United States Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin met his counterpart, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen, in Singapore on Friday (June 10), where they discussed ways to further strengthen defence cooperation, including in cyberspace.
