On Feb. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Clearmont School multi-purpose room, the SCSD#3 quarterly listening session will be held, the main topic being the future of the Arvada Elementary School.
The Arvada School had been in operation since July of 1892, first as an elementary and later as a high school.
At a work session preceding the Wednesday, Jan. 10 SCSD#3 School Board meeting, the SCSD#3 trustees met with representatives from Bennett, Weber and Hermstad, LLP, to discuss the audit.

Due to the winter storm, Highway 14-16 between Ucross and the Campbell County Line was closed on Tuesday, and as of 10 a.m. the estimated opening was time is unknown, according to Wydot.
Arvada-Clearmont School was first on a two hour delay, and then the school closed for the day, with a make up day to be held on Friday, March 19.
In other news, Arvada-Clearmont School will be holding a meeting at 5 p.m. on March 24, to inform the public that the A/C board will mothball the Arvada Elementary school for three years, starting with the 2020-21 school year. The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room at A/C School. The decision was made due to the fact that there were no students that would be attending the school. By mothballing the school, the board has to option to reopen the school should there be enough students to merit having a school in Arvada.
