(Dec. 9, 2020) Updated Dec 10, 2020; The Raritan Valley Community College arts and design department will continue its virtual concert series with “Cinderella,” a live-streamed from Nash Theatre on the Branchburg campus 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, performed by pianist Artyom Pak. The program will include 19 pieces from Sergey Prokofiev’s ballet, “Cinderella,” in the composer’s own piano arrangements. An online discussion with Pak will follow the program. Born in Tashkent, Pak gave his first solo recital at age 9, made his first appearance with an orchestra at age 13, and since has played with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, and the Mihail Jora orchestra of Bacau, Romania. His solo repertoire contains works from J.S. Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, John Cage others ....
