Harold Davis, Deputy Chief Executive Officer - Jamaica Business Development Corporation, said the findings are critical to the agency’s thrust in the development of the Cultural and Creative Industries in Jamaica. The findings of the Jamaica Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) Mapping exercise has identified a lack of business skills as a barrier to growth and sustainability among creative entrepreneurs in Jamaica.  The exercise was conducted by the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) and British Council, with both entities highlighting the need for advancement of a CCI policy and sector coordination.  The research was conducted by an international consulting firm, Nordicity which undertook fieldwork in Jamaica in January 2020.
