(CHICAGO) The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 2,049 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with 28 additional deaths, bringing the state’s death toll up to 22,047. Illinois’ latest hospitalization report shows 1,963 individuals in Illinois are in statewide hospitals with COVID-19. Of those, 479 patients were in Intensive Care Units and 249 patients were on ventilators.
