FT. SILL, Okla. (TNN) - A Fort Sill civilian employee was found unresponsive Thursday at the Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area RV Park.
Officials say military police went out to do a welfare check at the individual’s RV.
Reynolds Army Health Clinic emergency responders were then called and determined the person was deceased when they arrived.
The person’s cause of death is now under investigation and their name will be withheld until 24-hours after the next of kin has been notified. ....

CAMP ZAMA, Japan (April 13, 2021) – Throughout the Zama Middle High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Cadet Leadership Challenge here April 6 through 8, the cadets showed they were up for the test.
They treated blisters from the nearly 3-mile road march quickly and thoroughly. They helped each other over difficult obstacles during the obstacle course. They demonstrated teamwork during the orienteering test. They cheered each other on during the Army Combat Fitness Test. They listened carefully to the safety brief before their Black Hawk helicopter flights. And when it came time to learn medical rescue carries, it seemed everyone wanted to carry the 200-pound cadet. ....

Fort Jackson has helped vaccinate thousands since January

COLUMBIA, S.C. Fort Jackson has been able to vaccinate thousands of people since receiving their first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine at the beginning of the year.
Lt. Colonel Matt Hanna says they ve been helping vaccinate people at Fort Jackson since January 8th.
We need to be able to take care of our beneficiaries, our soldiers, their dependents, our retirees, their dependents, everyone that s within our catchment area. We want as many people vaccinated as possible. Every shot counts at this points.
According to a press release from Fort Jackson, Moncrief Army Health Clinic is administering the vaccine under the guidance of a DoD Population Schema, which is also consistent with guidelines from U.S. Centers for Disease Control. ....

Mar. 3 Fort Jackson is expanding the group of people who can receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on post.
More community members of the U.S. Army installation in the Columbia area can schedule an appointment to get the shot, Fort Jackson officials said Wednesday in a news release.
The process started Tuesday, the same day that Gov. Henry McMaster said South Carolina will transition into Phase 1b of its vaccine rollout. That effort to immunize the state s population against the coronavirus will begin next Monday. ....
