Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman and acting House Sergeant at Arms Timothy Blodgett testified before a House Appropriations subcommittee
Panel is probing the January 6 insurrection
Blodgett said there was a failure to either gather, synthesize, or disseminate intelligence
Pittman said intelligence warned of armed white supremacists and militia group members coming to D.C.
Capitol Police were also warned that the Capitol was the primary target because all judicial remedies for opposing election results had been exhausted
