FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas plays the second of back-to-back road games Saturday with a trip to Alabama Saturday (Jan. 16). The game is set to begin at 2:30 pm (CT) and will be televised on SEC Network. This will be the 64th meeting between Arkansas and Alabama and 54th since the Razorbacks joined the SEC. Arkansas leads the all-time series, 35-28, and is 28-25 versus the Crimson Tide since joining the SEC. Alabama owns a 20-8 advantage in games played in Tuscaloosa. However, Arkansas has won six straight and seven of the last eight in the series overall. The Razorbacks dropped nine spots in the NCAA NET to #29 after the loss at LSU. Alabama is #22 in the NCAA NET. Of Arkansas’ first six league games, four are ranked among the NCAA NET Top 30. ....
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas hits the road to face #9/8 Tennessee on Wednesday (Jan. 6). The game is set to begin at 7:00 pm (ET)/6:00 pm (CT) and will be televised on ESPN2. The Volunteers own a slight 22-21 advantage in the series and are 13-4 versus the Razorbacks in Knoxville. Arkansas won the last meeting between the two school and has won seven of the last 10 versus Tennessee. However, the Vols did win three straight prior to the Razorbacks’ win last February. The NCAA released its first NET ranking on Jan. 4 and the Razorbacks came in at #24. Arkansas’ lone loss was to #10 Missouri and Tennessee has a NET of #3, Arkansas is 2-0 vs Quad 2 (ACU and at AUB) and 2-0 vs. Quad 3 (UNT and ORU). ....
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas will play its SEC home opener on Saturday (Jan. 2) versus 12th-ranked Missouri. Tipoff is set for 11 am (CT) and the game will be nationally televised on CBS. The last time the Hogs played on CBS was twice in the 2014-15 season – at Kentucky (Feb. 28, 2015) and at Florida (Jan. 31, 2015). The last time CBS broadcast a basketball game from Fayetteville was Feb. 19, 2014, versus South Carolina. This will be the 54th meeting between Arkansas and Missouri, but just the 17th since Missouri joined the league in 2012-13. The Razorbacks own a 28-25 advantage in the series, including a 17-9 cushion in games in Fayetteville. ....
