El Dorado (April 3, 2024) The South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society announced that the Mayhaw Festival will return for its 32nd year on Saturday, May 4th. The festival will be held in and around the Newton House Museum at 510 N. Jackson in downtown El Dorado.
The Mountain Home Cemetery Board dedicated a new historical marker on Saturday, commemorating the history of the Mountain Home Cemetery. Sponsored by the Mountain Home Cemetery Board, the marker is part of the Arkansas Historical Marker Program and was partially funded through a matching grant from the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program.
