Artists protest for relief

JAMMU, June 14: Demanding relief package for them, local artists held a protest demonstration at Cultural Academy, here today.
They were demanding relief package for the artists, who are without work because of the Covid pandemic and consequent lockdowns.
To highlight their grievance and demand, these artists assembled at the Cultural Academy complex and staged a dharna amidst beating of drums and raising slogans.
According to Garu Ram, an artist from Bhagatpur Jammu, no relief compensation has been provided by the Government to the artists, who are without work because of Covid pandemic and consequent lockdown. ....
