Bank of Hawai'i's Lahaina branch is under construction with grand opening set before the end of 2024 : Maui Now

Lahaina will be the second Branch of Tomorrow on Maui. The first is Kīhei, which opened in 2017. Bank of Hawai‘i has served the people of Lahaina for nearly a century beginning with its first branch in the area on Front Street in 1930. In addition to the new branch, Bank of Hawai‘i Foundation donated $100,000 to Hawai‘i Community Lending for the Lahaina Homeowner Recovery Program.

MAPA starts construction on black box theater; puts up two Wailuku buildings for sale : Maui Now

Maui Academy of Performing Arts has started construction on its new black box theater in the former National Dollar Store building at 2027 Main Street in Wailuku. With plans to consolidate programming in the new facility, the Board of Directors made the decision to list MAPA’s other two commercial buildings across the street for sale with Commercial Properties of Maui.

Two Maui High School seniors awarded $32,500 Bob Poulson Scholarship : Maui Now

Congratulations to Maui Preparatory Academy’s Yuna Lee and Lahainaluna High School’s Jaysen Akahi-Vida! They are the recipients of the prestigious Bob Poulson Scholarship from the Construction Industry of Maui. Each was awarded $32,500 in scholarship funds.
