Summer at Segerstrom Center for the Arts is going strong with events, performances and concerts for everyone! The Coollab Festival, presented in partnership with the Coollab Project in Santa Ana, returns to Argyros Stage this Sunday, July 18 from 4-9pm. In its second year, the festival showcases the hippest bands in Orange County and features local artists with spunky, soulful and blended beats.
The show kicks off with DJ Daniel Jamezzz, one of OC s hottest DJ s with guaranteed good vibes. Marcellina will then take the stage with her signature multi-genre flair inspired by jazz, psychedelic rock, R&B, Gospel, punk and hip hop. Segerstrom Center for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Black Intellectual Innovation at California State University, Fullerton is holding its first Juneteenth Celebration - Freedom in Full Bloom - on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza, Saturday, June 19 from 3-7 pm. A trio of Orange County museums have been awarded $100,000 each by the Getty Foundation to participate in the Getty’s next Pacific Standard Time (PST), an ambitious range of exhibitions and public programs scheduled for 2024 that explores the connections between the visual arts and science, from prehistoric times to the present and across different cultures worldwide.
This iteration is a collaboration of dozens of arts institutions across Southern California. A trio of Orange County museums have been selected to receive research grants of $100,000 each, leading to their participation in PST: Laguna Art Museum, Orange County Museum of Art, and Beall Center for Art + Technology at University of California, Irvine. ....
