The Sioux Empire is the land of chislic, with the local staple on nearly every restaurant menu within 50 miles.
Chislic is salted cubes of meat, such as mutton, beef, venison or goat, that is deep fat fried or grilled. It s often served skewered or on toothpicks with a side of crackers or dipping sauces.
