BuCor extends to May 21 deadlinefor applications as corrections officers – Manila Bulletin

BuCor, which manages six prison facilities in the country, said additional corrections officers for 2021 are needed “to strengthen its personnel complement and further amplify its thrust towards the implementation of its twin mandates of safekeeping and reforming the country’s national PDLs (persons deprived of liberty).”
In an announcement, BuCor said the deadline was extended “in consideration of the imposed Quarantine Status in NCR (National Capital Region) and its surrounding provinces during the past month….”
It said applicants “must not be less than 21 years old and not more than 40 years old; at least 1.62 meters in height for males and 1.57 meters for females; a Filipino citizen; a person of good moral character; has a baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution; has the appropriate civil service eligibility; has not been dishonorably discharged or dismissed from previous employment; and has not been convicted by final judgm ....

BuCor has 6 new corrections inspectors

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has six new corrections inspectors who took their oaths of office last April 22.

In a statement, BuCor said the new inspectors are Rushting Maming, Leopoldo Baniqued, Romel Asia, Joevi Valenzuela, Regino Devaras and Argie Adel.
