getting elected in 193 193 the very few piece through the congress was the conservation corps aimed at young men between 18 and 25. something like that. getting them back to work and restoring their vitality through work. what would happen if a democrat in the modern era suggested something like that? you think it would play well. while the unemployment statistics look good, there are a lot of young men pushed out of the labor force or dropped out there. are about 17, 18% of 25 to 64-year-old men who aren t working. and you know, there are a lot of younger men who are neither in school or working. so, you know, why is that? and, you know, why can t we create better jobs for them and, yes, i mean, you take a democrat would pitch some kind of jobs program. tucker: this is a longer conversation but i think the answer is toxic masculinity.
correspondent mike emanuel joins us. at this point it doesn t sound like there s much action. i ve checked in with sources on both sides of the island they are saying no movement at this point. today was the first business day of a partial government shutdown after the christmas holiday. it was clearly on president trump s mind all the way in iraq. whatever it takes. we are going to have a wall. were going to have safety. we need safety for our country. we have terrorists coming in through the southern border. one quarter of the federal government is closed. the white house insists the furlough government workers will get their money. they might miss of pay period because the government shutdown but in the end, even if they aren t working, congress has decided to pay people for the whole time. in the end, it s really just a short-term problem, not a long-term problem for government workers. one thing that mice force action would seem people hurting from this shutdown. so far

indicted for new meddling? i think this indictment of the russian operative is significant for at least three reasons. first, it s not just russian interference in our elections in 20 sane. it s now, in 2018. second, this was not a small operation. based on public reporting, we re talking about at least $35 million. and this is one of many operations the kremlin engages in. and third, i think what s interesting is you have the department of justice, the head of the fbi, putting country over party. clearly, this is not a topic donald trump wants to talk about. but yet, you have these trump officials putting this out before the american people because they realize interference in our elections is so important. which you vow as a positive as a time we re told so many things aren t working, you vure that as working. this would be a kind of potential exception to the attempt not just by the special counsel but doj writ large to stay quiet before the midterms, but you can t be quiet abou
