The issue has come up several times over the years, and the problem is that neither the Local Government Act nor the Community Charter provides regional districts with the authority to regulate business. Pemberton council discussed the issue at its March 15 meeting after Councillor Lisa Ames expressed concern earlier in March over the regional district s inability to take action against Outdoor Adventures following reports of the sled dog incident.
