(The Daily Record/File Photo) A nonprofit organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Maryland has filed a lawsuit against six jurisdictions it claims barred people with these disabilities from accessing the COVID-19 vaccine. The lawsuit claims that these six jurisdictions Carroll, Garrett, Queen Anne’s, Somerset and Talbot counties, as well as the city of Baltimore failed to list people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as members of priority group 1B on their websites and, in doing so, violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. ....

Marylanders Without Internet Can Call COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center Maryland Department of Health (MDH) has teamed up with Maryland Department of Aging (MDOA) to launch a telephone line to assist Marylanders without internet in making vaccine appointments. The COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. @MDHealthDept launched a COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center to share info on the vaccine and help people find vaccine providers near their homes!
