Carsupermarket and Motordepot owner Aramis tees up £413m IPO

Carsupermarket and Motordepot owner Aramis tees up £413m IPO Add to Bookmarks Aramis Group, which owns Carsupermarket, Motordepot and BestBuyer.com in the UK, has taken its first step towards an initial public offer (IPO) on the Paris Euronext exchange. The IPO is expected to close on 16 June raising as much as £413m (Euro481m). On a pro forma basis, the group’s revenues for the financial year ended 30 September 2020 amounted to €1.09bn. Stellantis, which will not sell any shares in the transaction, will remain the majority shareholder of Aramis Group. Aramis said the link with Stellantis gave it direct access to a source of used cars with no intermediaries, giving it higher margins. Its gross profit per unit went from €2,364 in 2019 to €2,509 in 2020, an increase of 6.1%.
