Today, fifteen days later, NOAA has issued their Updated Outlook for May. We are seeing the transition from La Nina to ENSO Neutral but the transition is taking place slowly. The changes from the Early Outlook forecast issued on April 15, 2021, are less significant than we might have expected given that the Early Outlook for May was issued fifteen days ago.
