Show Transcript the April Fool s Day blizzard of 1997 dumped between 20 and 30 inches of snow on parts of southern New Hampshire. Spring had sprung, but the work of winter wasn t done yet. Lots of shovel and I had to pick my wife up at work last night at 10 o clock, so I had to shovel to get out, came back. I m traveling to get out again. Some were able to turn the heavy, wet snow into a day of fun, breaking out sleds they didn t think they d be using again until Christmas time. We were planning on going fishing these opening season, so this threw us for a little A little twist. The storm also provided a chance for intrepid reporters like Andy Hershberger to get creative. While most people this morning we re shoveling or even snow blowing, small businesses like Reds Garage had to plough their parking lots out, but the resulting snow pile isn t measured in inches or even feet.
