May 14 was officially proclaimed Apraxia Awareness Day in Brantford thanks to Aidan Forbes.
The 17-year-old Brantford resident wants people to know about childhood apraxia of speech, a rare disorder that affects about one in 1,000 children, including Aidan and twin brother, Owen, robbing them of their ability to speak more than a few words throughout much of their childhood.
