JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two State Troopers went above and beyond the call of duty to help a woman down on her luck.
Corporal Craig James tells us Trooper Antoine Guice was on his way home two nights ago when he came across a car on the side of Highway 84 in Franklin County. He stopped to check and found the driver asleep. ....

HOUSTON – A 20-year-old man is now charged in the shooting of another man last week in northwest Harris County, police said.
Houston police shared a photo of Maycon Rodriguez on Monday.
The shooting happened at an apartment complex in the 6400 block of Antoine Drive about 11 p.m. on Jan. 8.
Rodriguez is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon,
The victim, Mario Ponce, 19, was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. Ponce was found on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, Houston police said. He was transported to the hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics. At the hospital he was able to provide officers with the identity of the shooter, according to police. ....
