The inaugural Founders Day celebration is set to take place on March 20 in Waynesboro, showcasing local history. The day will focus on the strength and resilience of the community, both past and present.
According to Whitney Warner, owner of Warner s Soda Shoppe, who is spearheading the event, the idea came about after a meeting of downtown business owners.
We wanted to do something as a thank you to the community and celebrate the small wins and milestones of this year, Warner said. The goal of the event is to inspire young minds to learn about events that have shaped our borough, our town, and our county. ....
