if i had to guess, that s what i would guess because, you know, look, i think that his base is hostile to vaccines, and i think he would only have everything to gain by saying, you know, no, enough is enough, i didn t get that booster, right? i don t think he would really lose any political capital for saying he didn t get it, but, you know, he s not an idiot, and he s smart enough to protect himself from a raging epidemic, but if he is smart enough to protect himself from a raging epidemic, he doesn t have the integrity to urge other people do the same if it might alienate some of his base. we ve seen donald trump who until very recently could no wrong with most of the right. he s talked about his own booster. and that s when people start booing. that s when he lost them. it s really striking at this point the republican party or much of the base of the republican party is even more antivax or antibooster or
