Thunderstorms my breaking out and into scotland as well. The reason why is low pressure moving across the British Isles at the moment and its moving across scotland. This is where we are going to see some of the heavier downpours, with the risk of flash flooding particularly across the eastern side of scotland this afternoon. It is eastern scotland, down into parts of north east england, where, if you do catch a thunderstorm you could see may be 20 30 millimetres of rain in an hour. Theyll be fairly slow moving. You can pick out one or two in the midlands and east anglia, maybe 10 15 millimetres of rain so the potential for some disruption.
