I was campaigning across the north end of my district back in 1994 and i was going to talk about tax cuts and this and that and the other everywhere i went. nafta, nafta, nafta, nafta. and you were you an anti-nafta it was a perot district and a democrat district, republican district, fairly conservative, but it was nafta that tipped all of toes blue-collar democrats over the line saying, we re going to vote for republican. and i d go into some community and i d be like, these people don t have any trade with mexico? so it is, again, like 1994 for health care reform will symbolize something much bigger. it will be health care reform, the stimulus package and the bailouts. that all together will equal but you don t think the unemployment numbers will mean people will be less focused on health care? i don t. ....
