The Yuma woman convicted of attempted murder for shooting her ex-boyfriend in the head on Interstate 8 was in court Tuesday to be sentenced but it was delayed.
Anthony Valente was operating a crane when a cable broke off and sent a 285-pound piece of equipment plummeting toward Darren Miller, who was helping Valente, according to an indictment. Miller was declared dead on scene, police said.
