NORMAN, Okla. The No. 11 Sun Devil wrestling team earned its first road win in nine years over No. 20 Oklahoma, 20-12, at McCasland Field House Friday night. Senior Kordell Norfleet (197) ultimately sealed the dual for ASU (2-0) in the ninth bout after an impressive two tie-breaker period decision victory over No. 13 Jake Woodley.
I thought overall the team wrestled well, they were prepared and I m proud of these guys, assistant coach Lee Pritts said. This was a great test by a talented and well coached Oklahoma team. Looking ahead it s going to get tougher so we have to continue to climb, continue to elevate, continue to fight. ....
