In his remarks, Chairman, South-South Governors’ Forum and Governor of Delta State,
Ifeanyi Okowa, thanked the outgoing caretaker committee in the zone for its contributions to the party.
He said that the party in the zone will continue to speak with one voice to provide leadership and direction for the members. We thank God that we are gathered here again as a party and as a zone because when we gather, we speak with one voice. As long as we stay united as one, we will continue to build on the gains of the past, and going into the future, I know that we will continue to work hard to take back our country under the leadership of the PDP.

Port Harcourt, March, 9, 2021 Chief Dan Orbih on Tuesday emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South South National Vice Chairman.
Orbih, who was returned unopposed at the party’s zonal congress which held at the Dr Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, however polled 960 votes out of the 964 votes cast.
In his acceptance speech after the inauguration of the new leadership of the party in the zone, he pledged to reposition the party and make it stronger in 2023.
He assured that the new executive would not betray the trust and faith reposed in them by the delegates.
