OKLAHOMA CITY – More and more Oklahomans can be vaccinated in upcoming weeks as more vaccine becomes available, but children need to be back in school right now, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt and other state officials said during a press conference at the state Capitol on Tuesday.
Stitt said the new quarantine protocol announced for schools Tuesday will encourage more widespread, consistent use of masks in schools without his having to issue a mask mandate. ....

Officials with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department announced they are partnering with the county’s four large hospital systems and Oklahoma City Community College to administer 5,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to residents 65 years old and older. According to officials, on Thursday, 3,700 doses will be administered at several locations in Oklahoma City. OU Health is administering vaccine at the Embassy Suites hotel on its campus. In addition, vaccine is being administered at OCCC, Integris’s Portland campus, Mercy’s Meinders Neuroscience Institute and three SSM St. Anthony Healthplexes.Vaccinations will continue Friday at three SSM St. Anthony’s Healthplex locations and the clinic at Embassy Suites, operated by OU Health, officials said. On Saturday, SSM Health St. Anthony’s is also vaccinating residents at two locations.Residents can register for these clinics through the state’s vac ....
