Pat Dowdy Pat Dowdy, 72, of Paragould, Ark., passed from this life on December 19, 2020, at the NEA Hospital, Jonesboro, Ark. She was born in the Rector, Ark., area to Norene (Eaton) Barlow. Her Uncle Hollis Eaton lovingly helped raise Pat. Pat was involved with many activities and enjoyed life to the fullest. She married Keith Dowdy on Dec. 19, 1981 and spent 39 years married to her best friend. She influenced many children with her teaching at Rector Elementary School, and in the Greenway School District, for 33 years. Pat and Keith were members of Mary Chapels General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and led the singing for many years. After the church closed they became members of Marmaduke First Baptist, where they have attended for 14 years. They loved to travel and have visited all 50 States, including Hawaii a couple of times. She was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center and faithfully worked for the Nurs ....
