"So take into consideration, that whole plot of land where that water plant sits right now generates zero dollars in tax revenue," Manross said. "The minute something gets built there, that’s going to change the valuation of what that land is."
Fairport Harbor Village has confirmed that it wants to use grant money from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council to install two LED signs in the community.
The company's bid of about $236,159 was the least expensive proposal from a field of seven prospective contractors. A bid advertisement said the opinion of probable construction cost for the streetscape endeavor was $265,000.
