A Howell Township woman is facing serious charges after police arrested her for driving while drunk with a child sleeping in the back of the vehicle.
Police in Ocean Township said they pulled over 26-year old Anteirah Mitchell along Route 66 and Cedar Village Boulevard around 10:00 pm on Tuesday and found a man in passenger seat and a child sleeping in the back.
Officers conducted an on-scene investigation where they determined that Mitchell was operating the vehicle while intoxicated and said she had done so knowingly while responsible for the care of the juvenile.
Police said when they tried to place Mitchell under arrest, she resisted officer control by tensing her body and pulling away from officers. ....
