BENGALURU: Women representation in top management continues to be abysmal in India, a study by HR consultancy firm Xpheno shows. Out of the 200 recent C-suite movements studied, which mostly took place between October and March when the pandemic was ebbing, 96% of top leadership changes in technology companies were by men. For non-tech companies, it was 86%.
“Tech domain continued to represent itself as a male bastion at the top with just a little over 4% of the moves involving female executives,” said Prasadh MS, technology specialist at Xpheno. The study involved 100 tech and non-tech movements.
