There is a Marginal Risk of severe weather circled for a few of our counties to the southeast into Wednesday night, including Greenwood, Elk and Chautauqua counties. A storm could briefly pulse up and produce hail before departing. More of a miss than hit situation with rain on this round. Winds be briefly gusty Thursday which could create high fire danger. Going forward, Fire Weather Season is here, so any warm, windy and dry days are suspect for heightened fire concerns.
Temperatures continue to climb for the start of the week. Highs will reach the upper 50s and low 60s across the region. Southwesterly winds become northwesterly by the evening as a weak boundary passes across the state.
Temperatures continue to soar through the start of the week. We jump into the 60s by Monday and eventually flirt with the 70s by Wednesday. The midweek heat will result from air compressing and heating ahead of our next cold front.
