Written by Town of Southeast, NY Director Joe Scelia presents the 11th Annual Track & Field Camp will touch on a variety of Track and Field events. The camp will take place on our track and field facility at Brewster High School. We will expose students to hurdling, jumping (high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault), throwing (shot put, discus, javelin), sprinting, distance running, and relays. Joe Scelia is a Special Education Teacher and has been the Varsity Cross Country, Winter and Spring Track & Field Coach at Brewster High School for the last 20 years. Coach Scelia’s Cross County/Track & Field teams have won multiple league and section championships. Allison Scelia has been a teacher at J.F.K. Elementary School for the past 20 years. There will be other BHS track & field coaches, current athletes, and team alumni working at the camp as well. Campers must bring their lunch, snacks, and drinks.
