MZANSI’S newest reality show, The Real Housewives of Durban, is already a favourite.
It has topped Showmax charts!
According to Showmax, statistics show that RHOD has broken all previous first-day viewing records, claiming the top spot on the streaming service.
The show, which premiered on Friday, 29 January, has been trending on social media since its release.
The first episode saw Sorisha Naidoo inviting her cast members Kgomotso Ndungane, Ayanda Ncwane, Annie Ludwick and Nonku Williams to her home for a Diwali celebration.
Showmax released a statement announcing the news.
“The episode landed on Showmax at 00.00, with diehard fans staying up until midnight to stream. Views started to pick up from 7am, continuing to rise throughout the day with views peaking at 8pm. Over the past week, RHOD has remained the most popular show on Showmax,” said Showmax.
